Disney 2011

On December 21st we left for Grandma's house (Disney world) around 9am (I had just gotten off at 7am). We decided to drive, which one way took about 17 hours altogether. The drive was not that bad, but with mine and the boy’s bladders we made many stops along the way. That  night we made it to Tallahassee and stayed overnight at a hotel.

The next day we ate our breakfast and got back on the road. It took us about 4 or 5 hours to finally reach our destination. Bryan and I did not realize how close to the entrance we were, but then all of sudden Brayden saw the sign and since he can read a little bit now, he knew exactly what the sign said. We did pull over and try to video tape us explaining to Brayden and Kyler that we had told them a fib, and we were not going to grandma's house but we were going to Disney world. The video did not turn out as I had hoped, but I might post it later anyways. Brayden was pretty excited, and Kyler was too as well. However, Kyler was also upset that we were not actually going to grandma's house.

We checked in at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, which was pretty exciting in itself for the boys. They were able to enjoy cookies and lemonade, and color Disney pictures while daddy took care of all the boring stuff. We then got settled in our pirate themed room and got freshened up for our dinner reservations.

Our reservations for that night were for Disney's Spirit of Aloha dinner located at the Polynesian resort.

Here are a few pictures:

T ball pictures 2011

Brayden had a great first season of T ball, we will soon be signing up for the 2012 season. Poor Kyler is still not old enough yet. Brayden is wanting to sign up for both T ball and Hockey this coming up year.It will be a very busy year, and praying for no injuries.

Here are few pictures from T ball 2011. Brayden's team name was Storm.

It has been a while

Just looked at my last post and it has been a very long time since I have posted anything. There has been so many changes and trials in our life this year. I am ready for a break from this emotional roller coaster!
This is going to be very random so bare with me.Just going to do a small catch up post. Then I will post Brayden's 6th birthday and our Christmas trip for 2011.
So here it is:
-My mother was placed on life support at the end of May 2011 and passed away on June 3rd of 2011.
Miss you mom!

-My cousin Leslie and her husband Jake welcomed a handsome little boy into the world in September.
Sweet baby Alex.

-Have had recent contact with my sister that I have not seen or spoken to in several years. She welcomed a little girl named Kensley in September as well.

Kensley is beautiful, but we have not had the chance to meet her yet.

-Brayden turned six years old.

Mario Kart cake:).

Well that is all for now. Plan on adding several more posts soon.

Life is Crazy and Just Being Honest

Well I am obviously not doing to well on updating my blog, hopefully I will do better.

Right now life is crazy busy, and I am finding life to be very difficult. There is so much I want out of life, but yet it all seems so far a way right now.

The most important thing to me is my family, and I want to spend more time enjoying them! I want to strengthen relationships.I want another child, but not so sure if it is my familys future.

School is well school. The traveling and stress is more than I would like to deal with right now. Graduation seems so far away. Everytime I think I have it all figured out, my plan never seems to work out right. And of course it eats at me and discourages me! I think I will scream the next time someone asks when I will graduate. Not because of them, but because I am so frustrated with myself and my "plans". I want to teach and think I would really enjoy it. But looking at the future of education at this time, finding a job after graduation does not seem to promising.

On a bright note. Brayden has began T Ball and he is having a blast. Daddy is managing/coaching and I am doing the whole team mom thing. I love it, and hope he continues with it. His first game is today.
The boys got haircuts this past Friday, and I am loving Kyler's new style.
I will post pictures soon.

Brayden is 5

Brayden you are now 5 years old! Wow...when did you become such a big boy. You made me a mommy 5 years ago and changed my life forever. I have enjoyed every minute of being your mommy, and having the chance to watch you grow and learn.

You are a very social young man, and you love to be the center of attention. You love to learn new things every chance you get, and ask about 100 questions a day.

You love to ride your bike and to play baseball. You also love to draw and write notes, and to build things. Oh and you love to fish.

Your favorite color is blue and your favorite movie is Marmaduke. You like hot dogs (just the bun and weenie) and jelly sandwiches ( No peanut butter). You like lemonade and milk to drink.

You actually enjoy going to the dentist right now. You enjoy swim lessons in the summer and you get impatient for the holidays.

At night you love to play in the shower and then read a book. We say our prayers and then you always have a special secret to tell me. Once you have your blankie and glass of milk, you are ready for bed.

You are a very smart and entertaining young man with a big heart! I love you baby boy!

For your birthday we had a party at West wood cinema and invited all your friends and family. You had a great time running around with your buddies like a mad man. You decided to blow your candles out before we finished singing to you and then you went straight for the cake with your mouth. Like I said always entertaining. I am glad that brought cupcakes:). After cake and presents we watched the movie Megamind.

I hope to spend many more precious birthdays with you!

Love,
Mommy

Christmas Cards

The Holidays seem to have come so fast this year. It is crazy how quick a year can go by, especially when you have young children. I am excited for the holidays, especially Christmas. Brayden has already been asking to put out the Christmas tree and decorations, because he see's that many of the stores already have their decorations out for Christmas. I told him we will wait until Thanksgiving was over, but he does not seem to like that idea very much.
One of my favorite things about Christmas is receiving and sending Christmas cards. I love receiving Christmas cards with family pictures on them! Have you picked out your Christmas cards yet? I am planning on ordering mine through Shutterfly this year, they have some really cute selections. You can check them out here:
http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/christmas-cards. Which ones do you like?

Here are some of my favorites:

If I can just get some cute pictures of the family together, then I can finally decide on what type of card I will choose.

Shutterfly also has some cute selections on Christmas gift tags, here is the website to http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/christmas-gift-tags.

I also keep saying that I need to get some portraits hung up around the house. My walls are pretty bare for the most part:(. I am working on it though. Here is a site from Shutterfly where you can order Canvas wall art
http://www.shutterfly.com/home-decor/canvas-wall-art.

Guess what? Shutterfly is giving bloggers a chance to earn 50 free Christmas cards this year, you can go to

Enjoy!

Better late than never

Back in September we took the boys to the fair on 3 different days. Brayden is in love with going to the fair, he loves everything about it. The animals, rodeo, clowns, and of course the rides. Kyler thought the fair was pretty cool as well. I absolutely love his smile when he was on the rides.
On the last day we had the pleasure of my two nieces Kagan and Brinley joining us with their mommy, and Nana was there too.
Unfortunately at the time I had misplaced my camera and the photos I have are from my i phone.

(Brayden felt like such a big kid getting to ride this particular ride:)
